According to Isaeva D., the government accepted all the recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, submitted in 2013, and welcomed the specific measures provided for in the Strategy for the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. She also stressed the key importance of accessible high-quality databases for analysis and decision-making at the state level, especially during the reform period. UNICEF in Uzbekistan is working with the government and civil society organizations to realize the rights of all children in the country, especially from the most vulnerable segments of the population. The main areas of our work are healthcare, education and child protection.
As a state party to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Uzbekistan has committed itself to ensuring that the rights of all children are respected. In 2013, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child presented several recommendations to the government of the country, and we also support the state in their implementation.
Social protection of children from low-income families, children with disabilities and children living in public institutions is also one of the main areas of support for the government.
The seminar was attended by the faculty of the Department of Social Work, masters and students.
