TRAINING CONDUCTED BY EXPERTS OF THE COLOMBIAN UNIVERSITY FOR EXPERTS ON SOCIAL WORK UNDER TECHNICAL SUPPORT UNICEF


On June 2, the training started by experts from Columbia University (USA) in the framework of the UNICEF and NUUz project "Improving training in social work based on international standards", consisting of three cycles "Working with an integrated injury." This is the last of the three TOT for professionals.
The training covers such urgent problems as trauma to the child, post-traumatic syndrome, stigma and stereotypes, anti-discrimination practices in working with vulnerable groups of the population, case management (work with the case), working with families affected by poverty, basic skills for effective social work with families / people with HIV, domestic violence, skills of the supervisor, contributing to high productivity of employees
The training was attended by teachers of the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Social Sciences NUUz (8 people), teachers of Samarkand State University (1 person), Namangan State University (2 people), representatives of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent (2 people), Academy of the Prosecutor General (1 person), The Republican Center for Social Adaptation of Children (5 people), the Republican Scientific and Practical Research Center (2 people), undergraduates of the Social Work Department.
The experts of this project, prof. Ganieva M.Kh., associate professors Latipova N.M., DSc Karamyan M.Kh., PhD Alekseeva V.S. The modules for the training Practice of social work with families and children are being developed. A curriculum and programs for retraining and advanced training of social work specialists have been developed. It is planned to introduce this training into the Regional Center for training and raising the qualifications of teaching staff at the NUUz.
