Interregional Conference of Russian Federation and Republic of Uzbekistan universities was held in Astrakhan on April 8-10, 2019.
The topic was modern realities, trends and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan in the field of higher education. The event was organized in accordance with the final resolution of the first Russian-Uzbek educational forum "New staff for New economy". It held on October 18 of the last year in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The conference brought together representatives of more than 80 universities from both countries. One speaker of that event was acting Governor of Astrakhan Region - Oleg Morozov, the other was Deputy Minister of science and higher Education of Russia - Marina Borovskaya. The neaxt was - first deputy minister of higher and secondary special Education of Uzbekistan - Odil Abdurakhmanov. And the Ambassador of Uzbekistan - Botirjon Asadov. And vice-rector of Moscow state University named after Lomonosov - Yuri Mazey. The program included a plenary session
"New stage of cooperation: the way to implementing the decisions of the first Russian-Uzbek educational forum. It consisted and two sessions.
The session "Practical mechanisms of interuniversity cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan" was held at the Astrakhan state technical University. The other one "Priority directions and tasks of scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan" was held at the Astrakhan state University.
The conference participants reviewed the implementation of "Road maps" between the universities of Russia and Uzbekistan. And the formation of the agenda of the second Russian-Uzbek educational forum, which will be held in Moscow in autumn. The conference was organized by the government of Astrakhan region and the Ministry of science and higher Education of Russia. Also the Ministry of higher and secondary special Education of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of the country in Russia.
The conference was held at the residence of the Governor of Astrakhan region. In the Second block - named as the "Priority directions and tasks of scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan", which was held at the Astrakhan state University and where the leader was: Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan – Prof. A. R. Marakhimov.
At the plenary session, Rector of the NUU spoke about the current vector of cooperation between the National University of Uzbekistan and leading Russian Universities." Another issue was the question of the development of universities. It included the importance of preparation and organization of the branches, levels and subdivisions of higher education. In particular, inside of university segment. That was necessary to conduct educational, scientific and other activities. As well as projects of international treaties on the establishment and conditions of activity of branches, approval of decisions on their establishment with the support of foreign legal entities and foreign countries authorities. Although it was noted that joint work gives several ways of partnership. They can be: first, the organization of foreign branches from the main University, as well as joint international faculties and third, joint master‘s and bachelor‘s programs at the international level.
