<\/p>\n
The Department of Legal Sciences was established by Order No. 01-285 of the University Rector dated September 4, 2023. The department is one of the main educational and scientific units of the university and is engaged in training qualified specialists in the field of jurisprudence, conducting research activities, and organizing academic and methodological work.<\/p>\n
In the current academic year, 1,533 undergraduate students are enrolled in the Jurisprudence program (1,012 full-time, 409 part-time, and 112 distance learning), as well as 35 master\u2019s students.<\/p>\n
In the 2025\/2026 academic year, the department employs 29 full-time faculty members and about 10 part-time instructors, including 4 Doctors of Science and around 10 Candidates of Science. In addition, 19 foreign professors were involved in the educational process during the previous academic year. The department also has 3 doctoral students and 5 independent researchers.<\/p>\n
Over the past 4 years, the department\u2019s faculty and researchers have published more than 150 scientific works, including 3 textbooks, 9 teaching manuals, 2 monographs, and over 100 articles in leading national and international journals.<\/p>\n
Currently, cooperation memoranda have been signed with the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman), the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the Institute for Parliamentary Research, and the Notary Chamber.<\/p>\n
The department operates several student clubs, including the \u201cLegal Clinic,\u201d \u201cGO UP,\u201d \u201cLady Lawyers,\u201d \u201cNUU Law Society (NLS),\u201d and \u201cLegal English Club,\u201d which play an important role in strengthening students\u2019 theoretical knowledge with practical skills. In addition, within the framework of cooperation with the Supreme Court, the \u201cFuture Court Employees\u201d club has been established, with more than 60 student members who enhance their professional skills through internships in judicial bodies during their free time and summer vacations.<\/p>\n
Currently, the department is headed by PhD in Legal Sciences Sh.
