{"id":15139,"date":"2024-06-01T12:27:09","date_gmt":"2024-06-01T09:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.nuu.uz\/?p=15139"},"modified":"2026-05-22T10:31:49","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T05:31:49","slug":"jahon-tarixi","status":"publish","type":"chair","link":"https:\/\/nuu.uz\/en\/chair\/jahon-tarixi\/","title":{"rendered":"World history"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Turkestan People&#8217;s Dorilfunun, founded <strong>in 1918,<\/strong> was transformed into the Turkestan People&#8217;s University <strong>in 1920<\/strong>, and then into the Central Asian State University, where world historical sciences were taught at the Faculty of History and Philology. <strong>In 1920<\/strong>, the Department of History of Russia operated at this faculty under the direction of A.V. Pankov. Also, academicians V. Bartold and S.A. Zhebelev were invited to create the Departments of History and Culture of the Ancient East and Medieval History of the East. During this period, such historians as V.V. Bartold, A.E. Schmidt, V.V. Bush, S.S. Bezobrazov, L.V. Kholostova-Bezobrazova, V.N. Kun, Gramenitsky, R.F. Kulle, Kuznetsov, A.V. Popov taught on the problems of world history. In the 1930s, world history disciplines were taught at the Department of General History at the Central Asian State University.<\/p>\n<p>With the appointment of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor G.A. Khidoyatov to the head of the department <strong>in 1961<\/strong>, numerous changes occurred in its scientific life. In the period from <strong>1995-1998<\/strong>, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor T.S. Sattarov headed the department of &#8220;Modern and Contemporary History.&#8221; <strong>Since 1998<\/strong>, the department changed its name and received the name &#8220;World History.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Department of &#8220;World History&#8221; began its activity under the name of the Department of &#8220;New and Latest History&#8221; after the reorganization of the Faculty of History <strong>in 1935.<\/strong><br \/>\nSome departments of the faculty, i.e. &#8220;History of the Ancient World and Middle Ages&#8221;, &#8220;History of Eurasia&#8221;, &#8220;History of Asian and African countries&#8221; and &#8220;New and Latest History&#8221; were united and <strong>since 1998<\/strong> &#8220;World (General) History&#8221; \u201d began to be called.<br \/>\n<strong>More than 3,000 highly qualified specialists<\/strong> have been trained at the department, more than <strong>20 of them have obtained the degree of doctor of science<\/strong>,<strong> more than 180 candidates of science.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently, the Department of World History is headed by B.B.
