It was headed by Professor Aminov Olim Muminovich, PhD in<strong> Economics from 1944 to 1949,<\/strong> Associate Professor Stolyarov DD from 1949 to 1959, and Associate Professor Tarasyuk IA from 1959 to 1963. In 1964, the department was divided into two: the Department of Political Economy of the Humanitarian Faculties and the Department of Political Economy of the Natural Faculties.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Department<\/strong> of Economic Theory was established within the Faculty of History in 1968 under the name of the Department of Political Economy. This department was headed by Professor Ibragimov Alikhon Ibragimovich, PhD in Economics from 1968 to 1974, and Associate Professor Kasimov Narimon Azizovich in 1975. In 1975, this department was merged with the Department of Political Economy of the Faculty of Humanities, and <strong>in 1975-1988<\/strong>, this department was headed by Professor Natochiev Fedor Stepanovich, Doctor of Political Science.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 In 1979, the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics<\/strong> was established, and a separate Department of Political Economy was formed within its structure. This department was headed by the head of the Department of Political Economy, Professor Mukhtor Rasulovich Rasulov, from 1979 to 1990. <strong>In 1991, the Faculty of\u00a0 Economics<\/strong> was established, and the Department of Economic Theory began to operate within its structure. This department was headed by the head of the department of political economy, professor Zaynutdinov Sayfutdin Mukhiddinovich, professor Abdug&#8217;aniev Abduvohid Abdug&#8217;anievich in 1991-1992, professor Abdug&#8217;aniev Abduvohid Abdug&#8217;anievich in 1993-1996, professor Pazliddin Zukhurovich Khoshimov in 1997-2002, associate professor Zilola Abdujabbarovna Tolametova in 2003, associate professor Odil Khamzaevich Khamraev in 2004, associate professor Karimov Rakhmonkul Karimovich in 2005 and from 2005 to 2012 associate professor Umarov Kamol Yusupovich, from 2013 to 2015 professor Shodmonov Erkin Sherqulovich, from 2015-to 2022 professor Muminov Nozim Gaffarovich headed the department. From 2023 to the present, the department has been headed by Professor Mambetjanov Kakhramon Kurbandurdiyevich.<br \/>\nSince its establishment, the Department of Economic Theory has been training teachers of economic sciences for higher educational institutions of our country and highly qualified personnel for various fields and sectors of the economy.
