The Faculty of Social Sciences (until 1991, the Faculty of Philosophy-Economics, until 1991-2014, the Faculty of Philosophy) was established in 1979 and began to be called the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2014. Initially, departments of philosophy, psychology, economics, and political science operated within the faculty.
\nAt the Faculty of Social Sciences, starting from the 2021-2022 academic year, training of personnel has been established in the areas of Political Science and Patent Studies, and from the 2022-2023 academic year – in the areas of Jurisprudence.
\nToday, the faculty has 10 departments, 2 educational and scientific laboratories, and a “Legal Clinic.”
\nThe Faculty of Social Sciences is one of the basic faculties that trains qualified bachelors and masters who have deeply acquired knowledge and skills aimed at educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, forming in them a sense of belonging, who have mastered foreign languages to convey to the consciousness of various segments of the population the social, spiritual, and political reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, who can be an example for young people with their spiritual image.
\nThe faculty employs 32 Doctors of Science (DcS) professors, 47 Candidates of Science (PhD) associate professors, and more than 100 senior lecturers, instructors, and assistants.
