{"id":23501,"title":"Round table on the occasion of the Anti-Gender Violence Day","content":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"leading-8 font-normal\">A round table on the occasion of the Day of Combating Gender Violence was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"leading-8 font-normal\">The round table began with an introductory speech by Ranohon Rustamova, Advisor to the Rector for Women&#8217;s Affairs of the National University of Uzbekistan, and Saidakhon Azamkhodjaeva, Professor of the Department of Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Social Sciences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"leading-8 font-normal\">Then the speakers made a report on the possibilities and problems of women&#8217;s education in our country, their protection from harassment and violence, and the fight against domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"leading-8 font-normal\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">For reference, in 2014, the UN Secretary-General declared the initiative &#8220;UNiTE,&#8221; aimed at eliminating violence against women, open. In this regard, various events are held annually on a global scale from November 25 to December 10 under the &#8220;16 Days Against Violence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"leading-8 font-normal\">By the resolution of the UN General Assembly of December 17, 1999, November 25 was designated as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.<\/p>\n<p class=\"leading-8 font-normal\">The &#8220;16 Days Against Violence&#8221; initiative will last until 10 December.<\/p>\n<p class=\"leading-8 font-normal\">Information service of NUUz<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","date":"2024-11-25 18:41:07","image":null}
