On the occasion of March 3 – World Wildlife Day, a round table was held at the National University of Uzbekistan with the participation of relevant specialists.<\/p>\n

Sherzod Khalillayev, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology at the Faculty of Biology and Ecology, delivered a lecture and provided detailed information to the attendees about endangered species of wild animals and plants, and the culture of conserving and using wildlife.<\/p>\n

The round table continued in a dialogue format. Students received detailed answers to their questions, and students studying in the fields of biology and ecology expressed reasonable proposals and initiatives.<\/p>\n

For information, on December 20, 2013, the United Nations General Assembly, by its resolution, declared March 3 as “World Wildlife Day” in order to raise public awareness of wild flora and fauna. The emergence of such a universal holiday is directly related to the awareness of the need to preserve the biodiversity of our planet.<\/p>\n
