{"id":36093,"title":"Research Internship Opportunity in Korea: Applications Open for the Visiting Scholars Program","content":"<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"204\" data-end=\"453\">According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul, the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), operating under the Government of the Republic of Korea, has announced the opening of applications for the 2026 Visiting Scholars Program.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"707\">The program has been implemented since 2009 and is designed for foreign researchers, university lecturers, and professors. Its primary goal is to promote the exchange of knowledge, data, and academic experience among scholars working in various fields.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"832\">The program duration is one month, during which participants will conduct research at the Institute located in Sejong City.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"eb3paa\" data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"863\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"838\" data-end=\"863\">Eligibility criteria:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"1083\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1jh6gco\" data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"984\">Professional background in international economics, developing economies, economic policy, finance, or related fields;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"153kupc\" data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1010\">Master\u2019s or PhD degree;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"10l48ri\" data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1057\">At least 7 years of professional experience;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1q6nfnu\" data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1083\">Proficiency in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"13biqrn\" data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1124\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"1089\" data-end=\"1124\">Participants\u2019 responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1312\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1339qrg\" data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1251\">Conduct independent research and prepare an article based on the findings (in the Institute\u2019s \u201cWorld Economy Brief\u201d format);<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"dh1eav\" data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1312\">Present research results at the Visiting Scholars seminar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1oc3gwd\" data-start=\"1314\" data-end=\"1342\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1342\">Application process:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1343\" data-end=\"1529\">Applications are accepted year-round.
