Raima Shirinova was born on December 21, 1971, in the Bukhara region.<\/p>\n

From 1988 to 1993, she studied at Tashkent State University, where she earned her bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees in \u201cPhilology and Language Teaching: French Language.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2002, she defended her PhD dissertation on the topic \u201cSpecificity of Translating Religious Realities.\u201d<\/em> Later, in 2017, she completed her doctoral dissertation (DSc) titled \u201cReconstruction of the National Worldview in Literary Translation.\u201d<\/em> She holds the titles of Doctor of Sciences, Professor, and since 2019 has been an academician of the Turon Academy.<\/p>\n

Between 2005 and 2009, she successfully completed a second specialty in \u201cJurisprudence\u201d at the National University of Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n

From 2017 to 2019, she served as Executive Director of the Uzbekistan\u2013France Friendship Society (on a voluntary basis).<\/p>\n

Since 2019, she has held the position of Vice-Rector for International Relations at the National University of Uzbekistan. In addition, since 2020 she has served as Deputy Chair of the OWSD (Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World)<\/a> for Central Asia, as well as Deputy Chair of the Women\u2019s Association of Uzbekistan \u201cOlima.\u201d<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Her academic research focuses on translation theory and practice, cultural studies, linguoculturology, lexicography, phraseography, parallel corpora, and educational issues. Her articles have been published in prestigious international scientific journals indexed in Web of Science<\/strong><\/a> and Scopus<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From 2017 to 2023, she completed professional development and academic exchange programs at leading foreign universities, including:
\n\u2013 France:<\/strong> University of Tours, University of Poitiers, Sorbonne University
\n\u2013 Spain:<\/strong> University of Seville, University of Granada
\n\u2013 Germany:<\/strong> Hanover University, Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin
\n\u2013 Italy:<\/strong> University of Milano-Bicocca<\/p>\n

International Experience and Achievements<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 As Vice-Rector, she has actively contributed to strengthening the position of the National University of Uzbekistan in international rankings such as QS, THE, and WURI.<\/strong> Notably, the university became one of the first in the country to be listed among the world\u2019s top 1000 universities in the annually updated QS and THE rankings.
\n\u2013 She initiated the establishment of the International Summer School,<\/strong> which has welcomed students from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, China, Finland, Russia, and Central Asian countries.
\n\u2013 She has fostered effective cooperation with leading universities in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Croatia within the framework of Erasmus+ grant programs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For her contributions, Raima Shirinova has been honored with several prestigious awards, including:<\/p>\n
