She graduated with honors in 1978 from the Faculty of Physics, Department of Radiophysics, at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek).<\/p>\n<p>From 1979 to 1986, she conducted research at the Institute of General Physics (IOFAN), Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Academician A.M. Prokhorov. During this period, she completed her postgraduate studies and defended her PhD dissertation entitled <em>\u201cResonant Effect of Laser Radiation on Bromine Molecules Adsorbed on a Glass Surface,\u201d<\/em> earning the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PhD in Physics and Mathematics).<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, she successfully defended her Doctor of Science (DSc) dissertation at the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. Her doctoral research, <em>\u201cRaman Spectroscopy of the Interaction of Neutral Atoms and Molecules with the Surface of Transparent Solids,\u201d<\/em> further advanced the understanding of laser-induced surface processes.<\/p>\n<h3>Research Interests<\/h3>\n<p>Professor Zakhidova\u2019s primary research focus is the <strong>study of resonant heterogeneous processes under laser irradiation<\/strong>, including laser\u2013matter interaction, surface spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy of solid-state systems.<\/p>\n<h3>International Research Collaboration and Grants<\/h3>\n<p>She has actively participated in numerous international scientific programs and research grants, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>INTAS (European Union) Grant (2010\u20132013)<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative research with ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2006\u20132008)<\/li>\n<li>International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) Grant (2007\u20132009)<\/li>\n<li>Uzbekistan\u2013India Joint Research Program (1998\u20132005)<\/li>\n<li>Fundamental Research Grants of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>International Academic Training<\/h3>\n<p>Professor Zakhidova has enhanced her scientific and pedagogical expertise at leading international institutions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delhi Technological Institute, India (ITEC Program, 1997)<\/li>\n<li>Jeonbuk Institute, Republic of Korea (2002)<\/li>\n<li>Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Switzerland (2008)<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Training Centers of Uzbekistan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Publications and Academic Contributions<\/h3>\n<p>Professor Zakhidova is the author of more than 70 scientific publications in reputable international journals and scientific proceedings.
