Trade unions appeared in an initial stage of University formation.
Trade unions carry out the activity on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan,on the law of republic of Uzbekistan, about “Trade Unions, guarantees of their right and activity”, “About public associations", on the law “About the non-governmental and noncommercial organizations”, on the bases of the charter of Trade unions of scientists and teachers of a city of Tashkent and other legal documents.For today the committee of trade unions of professors, teachers and the working personnel unites, more than 1646 participants and operate as independent association.

The principal activities of committees include social and economic protection of professors, teachers and working personal, improvement their living and employment condition. They havethe authority to negotiate and solve conflicts appeared in working proses, defend worker’s interests, provide with secure technics, To hold popular sports competitions, to organize celebrations of holidays, protect health of professors, teachers and the working personnel, organize their spare time successfully, support the youth and increase the role of the woman in our society.
The main actions of Trade unions of professors, teachers and the working personnel:
- to protect constitutional laws of a choice of work and a trade of professors, teachers and the working personnel, according to their desire, to provide an employment condition, to protect them against unemployment irrespective of a nationality, a sex, age and religion;
- to help an establishing of a fair system of payment for professors, teachers and
the staff according to their work;
- to take part in the organization of a free time of professors, teachers and the working personnel successfully, increase educational and spiritual level of their participants;
