The product of national consciousness and thinking, spiritual unity are realized through language. The attitude to the mirror of spirituality - to the state language - reflects the attitude of the people to the fate of the nation.
The event, dedicated to of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the state language”, was organized in the National Park of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi and embodied high feelings, such as attention and respect for the mother tongue, responsibility for the each uttered word. It was attended by the chairman of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, People‘s Poet of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Said, members of the association, writers and poets, rectors of several educational establishments, professors-teachers, as well as representatives of the general public. Including the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Avazjon Marakhimov, prorector for youth affairs Abduvahob Umarov, professors-teachers and talented students of the university gathered around the monument to the great statesman and poet - Alisher Navoi.
Speaking about the native Uzbek language, the chairman of the Union of Writers Sirojiddin Said emphasized that the lifestyle, customs, traditions and culture of each people are reflected in its language, and the assignment of the status of the state language to the Uzbek language has become a powerful factor in its formation as a spiritual and cultural heritage, a national wealth and high value.
At the end of the event, the leadership of the National University of Uzbekistan laid wreaths at the monument of the “shamsu-l millat” of Turkic peoples (the sun of Turkic nations) – Alisher Navoi.
