  The department mentioned here has a long and rich history, dating back to 1920. Over the years, it has undergone changes in both its name and structure but has always remained an important scientific and educational center. In November 2024, two departments — Botany and Plant Physiology and Genetics — were merged into one, now called the Department of Botany and Genetics, led by Professor S.G.
