Today, September 29, a regular meeting of the University Council was held at the National University of Uzbekistan, where important issues related to various fields were discussed.

First, the Chairman of the Council, Rector Inom Madjidov, congratulated the university’s faculty and staff on the occasion of “Teachers and Mentors Day.” He noted that the worthy results achieved at the National University of Uzbekistan in recent years, international recognition, and high positions in prestigious rankings are the result of the team’s dedicated work, dedication, and high responsibility.

Then, on the occasion of the holiday, a group of professors and teachers were solemnly awarded the “Excellent Worker of Higher Education” badge.

In the main part of the meeting, the university’s results in international rankings and the results of the final control for the second half of the 2024/2025 academic year were analyzed, and priority tasks were identified. Issues such as determining the amount of tuition for second and subsequent higher education in the 2025/2026 academic year, additional payments to employees with academic degrees engaged in scientific, scientific-pedagogical, and labor activities, and issuing a publication certificate for educational literature prepared by professors and teachers were discussed.

The issue of recommendations for academic titles and positions was also considered. At this council, 2 candidates were recommended for the title of professor and 9 for the title of associate professor.
