On November 5–6 of this year, Professors of the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Uzbekistan — Dr. Niginakhon Arslanovna Shermukhamedova and Dr. Ozoda Djalolitdinovna Nishanova — took part in an international scientific and practical conference held in Baku.

The event was organized by the Center for Social Research of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of Istanbul University (Republic of Türkiye) and was dedicated to the theme “State Sovereignty and National Constitutions in the 21st Century: Global Challenges, Trends, and Prospects.”

Professor Nigina Shermukhamedova served as a member of the organizing committee and delivered a plenary presentation. Professor Ozoda Nishanova presented an analytical paper on the philosophical foundations of state sovereignty and the interrelation of national constitutional values within the context of modern socio-political and philosophical processes.

During the visit, promising scientific cooperation was established between scholars from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye. Preliminary agreements were reached to conduct joint research projects, publish articles in leading academic journals, and launch educational and academic exchange programs.
This visit marked an important step in strengthening the international academic reputation of the National University of Uzbekistan.
