NUUz ranked among the top-600 universities in The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings international

The National University of Uzbekistan has been ranked among the strongest TOP-1000 universities in the last five years, participating in the rankings of QS, THE as well as other international ranking agencies in the cross-section of directions.

Today, June 12, at the Global Sustainable Development Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, the results of The Times Higer Education Impact Rankings were published. The direction of this rating is measured by social measures, cultural and educational work carried out on the territory of the University in accordance with 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, the role of BRM in educational activities and research activities.

According to the results, the National University of Uzbekistan recorded 601-800 places in the world in 16 Sustainable Development Goals.

In particular, it ranked 48th in clean water and sanitation (SDG-6) at its first attempt, as well as 150 points higher this year, having recorded 201-300 in 2023 for the fight against hunger (SDG-2).

Özmu was ranked 54th in the Earth’s purpose of life (SDG-15) and 85th in the cheap and clean energy target (SDG-7) as of the first attempt this year. In fulfilling the goal of the fight against climate change (SDG-13), in 2023, nibatan recorded a 94th place with 200 jumps. In the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, the global cooperation indicator (SDG-17) recorded the largest result of the last five years, ranking it 201-300 among all foreign higher education institutions ranked from this rating.

According to the results of the ranking, NUUz became the leader among the Republican universities in terms of the number of scientific articles corresponding to the direction of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, increasing by 400 places compared to the previous year in 2024.

At the point of reference, on June 5, NUUz had been ranked among the world’s strongest top-1000 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2025, recording a historical result.
