An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Faculty of History was held

On October 17, an international scientific and practical conference on the theme “90 years of the Faculty of History of the National University of Uzbekistan: a center of education and science” was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan in connection with the anniversary of the Faculty of History.

The prestigious conference was attended by the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Professor Inom MADJIDOV, and the chairman of the Committee on Science, Education and Health of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahrom ABDULLAYEV, who congratulated those present on the occasion. The scientific potential of the faculty and its achievements to date were also recognized.
The conference was attended by well-known historians, scientists, researchers, heads of specialized scientific research institutions and higher education institutions from more than 10 countries. They presented interesting reports on various topics.

The conference proceedings were presented by prominent scientists from more than 20 countries, more than 300 researchers from various scientific and all leading higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan.
Before the conference, an exhibition of film, photo and phonographic documents dedicated to the glorious history of the faculty was organized. Unique materials found in the country’s archives by young teachers and students of the Department of Archival and Source Studies comprehensively illuminate the stages of the formation and development of the faculty, its complex, but at the same time honorable and fruitful path.
As part of the anniversary, a grand opening ceremony of a modern classroom at the Department of Archaeology at the Faculty of History was also held. It contains artifacts dating from the first millennium BC to the 18th century. It is worth noting that these invaluable finds were found during archaeological expeditions conducted by teachers and students of the faculty in the country.
The large exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary includes monographs, scientific collections, textbooks and other educational and methodological publications of the faculty’s professors and teachers. These books are a sample of the research work of the faculty’s leading scientists in recent years, reflecting their great contribution to the development of historical science and education. The organization of the international conference includes not only an assessment of the faculty’s many years of activity and celebration of the anniversary, but also a discussion of promising areas of international cooperation, a presentation of scientific news published by faculty teachers, textbooks, study guides, a collection of student articles published jointly with a partner university included in the TOP-1000 list, and a collective monograph.
