Today, on 20 November, an academic-practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of academician, Doctor of History, Professor Rahima Khodiyevna Aminova (1925–2001) was held at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. The event was organized in cooperation with the National University of Uzbekistan, the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences, and the Society of Historians of Uzbekistan.
The conference discussed relevant issues of the Soviet period in Uzbekistan’s history, including agrarian policy, gender issues, cultural heritage, and social development. The event was attended by academicians, leading scholars, university professors, Aminova’s students, and young researchers.

Rahima Aminova was the first Uzbek woman to obtain the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences, an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and a laureate of the Beruni State Prize. She authored 14 monographs and more than 300 scientific works. Many Doctors of Science and Candidates of Science were trained under her supervision.
As part of the event, a documentary film about the life and scientific activity of the scholar was screened, and leading researchers delivered lectures. Participants also discussed the scientific school founded by Aminova and her contribution to the development of historiography in Uzbekistan.
It was noted that Rahima Aminova’s scholarly heritage in the fields of Uzbek agriculture history, gender studies, cultural heritage, and Soviet-era research remains highly relevant for contemporary studies.
