
Today, at the National University of Uzbekistan, in celebration of the 34th anniversary of our country’s Independence and with the aim of welcoming newly admitted first-year students, a festive event was held under the slogan “For the Homeland, for the Nation, for the People.”
The event was attended by university leadership, representatives of science, academicians, members of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, students and their parents, as well as members of the wider public.
The university rector, Inom Majidov, opened the event by warmly congratulating the audience on the 34th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Independence and wished success to the newly admitted students. Addressing the students, the rector emphasized the importance of valuing student life as a highly responsible and unforgettable period, and of making the most of it.


Speeches and congratulations were also delivered by academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and prominent mathematician Abdulla A’zamov, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor Rahbarxon Murtazayeva, Director of the Institute of Seismic Resistant Construction and Mechanics Karim Sultonov, and First Deputy Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan Minhojiddin Mirzo.
During the event, artistic and musical performances by pop artists and creative youth were presented to the audience. The festive spirit, noble slogan, and the students’ elevated mood gave the event a special charm.
The main celebration continued with “Independence Lessons” held in the university’s faculties.
