Today, January 11, a scientific and educational event was organized at the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of the National University of Uzbekistan with the participation of employees of the “Chotqol” State Biosphere Reserve, professors, teachers, students and youth of the Department of Ecology.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, the head of the Department of Ecology, Vafabay Sherimbetov, congratulated the participants of the event on the occasion of the date.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Sciences Shukurillo Ziyadov provided information about reserves and national parks in the Republic of Uzbekistan and their scientific and practical significance.
It was noted at the event that this date was established in 1997 at the initiative of the Center for Wildlife Conservation and the World Wildlife Fund, and since then it has been widely celebrated in foreign countries and in our country.
Speaking at the event, Aleksandr Yesipov, a senior researcher at the Chotqol State Biosphere Reserve, spoke about the activities of the reserve and its scientific and practical significance.
Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology Manzura Kamalova expressed her views on the activities of the Hisor State Reserve, which has the largest area in our republic.
The event, held in connection with the date, became even more lively with discussions and questions and answers.
