On the occasion of February 11 – International Women’s Day in Science, the Faculty of Chemistry of the National University of Uzbekistan held an event on the topic “Scholar – a symbol of dedication and selflessness in science (using the example of female chemists).”

The event was attended by the leadership of the university, professors and teachers, representatives of the Association of Women Scientists of Uzbekistan “Olima,” the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Academy of Sciences, the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and students.

The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of the National University of Uzbekistan, Yakub Ergashov. Scientists who attended the event gave lectures about achievements in the field of science and the opportunities given to chemists. In the artistic part of the event, dances were performed by female students.

Lectures given by Professor Mukhabbat Yuldasheva from the Faculty of Chemistry, Professor Nilufar Mamadaliyeva from the Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances of the Academy of Sciences, Colonel Khilola Usmanova, Professor at the University of Public Security, Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Shoira Mirabdullayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Military Psychology and Pedagogy at the Academy of Armed Forces, and Sakina Musabekova, Chief Forensic Expert and employee of the Central Customs Laboratory of the State Customs Committee, generated great interest among the participants.
