The next University Council was held at the National University of Uzbekistan

Today, on June 5, the next meeting of the University Council was held at the National University of Uzbekistan, during which a number of important issues related to various areas were considered.


Initially, the issue of high-quality admission of students to the university for the 2025/2026 academic year was discussed. Instructions were given to the relevant officials on the organizational measures that need to be implemented.

The issue of recommendations for academic titles and positions was considered. This council recommended 5 candidates for the title of professor and 6 candidates for the title of associate professor.

A competition for candidates for the positions of head of department and professor of department was held. In particular, 16 candidates from 13 departments participated in the competition for the position of head of department, and 20 candidates from 20 positions participated in the competition for the position of professor of department.

A report was heard on the implementation of the plan for retraining and advanced training courses for management and teaching staff in the 2024/2025 academic year. Information was provided on the implementation of scientific projects and their results. The practical significance and promising directions of the projects were discussed.

The results of the university’s QS 2025 ranking in subject areas were analyzed, and future plans were also determined. The indicators of attracting foreign investments, grants and gratuitous support funds in the 1st quarter of the year were analyzed by faculty.

Information was provided on the implementation of the roadmap drawn up on the basis of agreements reached and signed documents within the framework of the Uzbekistan-China Education Forum.

Information was provided on the work carried out at the university on methodological work, capacity building of departments, and published educational materials.

Also, various issues related to academic, educational-methodological, financial-economic work were discussed at the University Council.
