🔴 The delegation of the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz), currently visiting the University of Salzburg in Austria, became acquainted with the Z_GIS geo-informatics research and educational laboratories.
🔴 iDEAS:lab is an interactive educational laboratory at the University of Salzburg, focused on conducting scientific research through innovative approaches in science, technology, and education. It develops projects based on the integration of real and virtual worlds, creating future-oriented digital earth technologies and exploring various opportunities in artificial intelligence and digitalization.
🔴 Within the framework of cooperation, agreements were successfully reached on sending students, master’s, and PhD students for scientific internships through the implementation of Erasmus projects. In recognition of many years of collaboration, the University of Salzburg administration presented Raima Shirinova, Vice-Rector for International Relations at NUUz, with a certificate of membership in the Austrian Academic Network. This certificate will enable university professors and lecturers to carry out scientific research projects via a platform that ensures multilateral cooperation.
🔴 Furthermore, in collaboration with NUUz, the University of Salzburg discussed two project proposals to be submitted to a competition funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences: “Geospatial Sharing Platform for Central Asia” and “Tien Shan Tourism Development: Statistics, Directions, and Problems.” As a result, these projects were highly evaluated by experts and recommended for funding.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both universities agreed to develop a strategic plan to elevate future cooperation to a new level and to conduct regular monitoring through online meetings within a set timeframe.
