Today, September 24, the National University of Uzbekistan, together with the khokimiyat of Khavast district of Syrdarya region, held an educational and tourism forum under the motto “Khavast – a place of historical traces, values and new opportunities” with the participation of university students and students of this district.

Representatives of the university leadership, students, the khokimiyat of the Khavast district of the Syrdarya region, archaeologists, historians, specialists in the field of tourism, as well as students and teachers of secondary schools No. 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 27 of this district, and representatives of the public took part in it.

Within the framework of the forum, the goal was to study historical monuments and ancient cultural layers of the Khavast district based on scientific research, demonstrate the attractiveness of tourist sites, conduct scientific research on the history and ethnography of the region, integrate them with modern tourism, and effectively introduce them into the tourism infrastructure.

First, the forum participants visited the “Local History” museum of the Khavast district, where they got acquainted with more than 200 historical objects and exhibits with a 2700-year history.

Within the framework of this Forum, university scientists conducted a seminar-training on the topics “Khavast – a place of sacred sites at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road,” “Khavast – the harmony of history and nature,” “Khavast: national heritage and modern tourism.”

Also, this forum was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan and general secondary educational institutions of the Khavast district of the Syrdarya region in order to strengthen integration in the education system, further enhance the scientific and creative thinking, spiritual worldview of young people, increase their social activity, and accelerate the development of tourism potential.

In this regard, the forum program provides for raising cooperation between schools and universities to a new level, supporting innovative ideas in the fields of tourism and education, and realizing their creative and intellectual potential.
