A meeting between professors and students on the topic "The role of the scientific heritage of Abu Rayhan Beruni in the development of world science"

On September 27, 2023, in order to ensure the implementation of the decision PQ-361 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 25, 2022 "On the international celebration of the 1050th anniversary of the great thinker and encyclopedist Abu Raykhan Beruni" at the National University of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with professors and students on the topic "The role of the scientific heritage of Abu Rayhan Beruni in the development of world science".

Professors and teachers from countries such as USA, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Afghanistan, Egypt, Turkey, Tajikistan, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Algeria participated in the event and also state and scientific figures visited.

   In the first half of the day, the participants commemorated Beruni and laid flowers at the statue of the thinker. Also, they visited the "Alley of Writers" and discussed Beruni's scientific heritage and its place today.

The main part of the event continued at NUUz, the vice-rector for international relations Raima Shirinova opened the event.

From foreign countries, in particular, Mustafa Demirci, Rector of Dijle University (Turkey), Professor Alexander Stolyarov of the Russian State University of Natural Sciences, Christopher Simone University (Italy), Department of Geology, KA Foscari University of Venice Professor Vladimir Andrea Boselli, Cairo University of Egypt Oriental Languages and civilization faculty professor Jalal al-Said al-Khavnafi, Azusa Pacific University (USA) professor Ackles Nancy and senior lecturer of Tillar University (Azerbaijan) Aynura Husainova also exchanged opinions about the thinking scientist and his research.

At the end of the conference, it was emphasized that it is necessary to perpetuate the figure of the thinker scientist Beruni and to continue the researches dedicated to the legacy of his science.
