A republican scientific conference dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding mathematician, academician Tashmuhammad Sarimsakov was held at the National University of Uzbekistan on the topic “Current problems of modern mathematics and its applications”.

This scientific event was attended by academician Shavkat Ayupov, vice-rector for scientific work and innovations of the National University of Uzbekistan Yaqub Ergashov, dean of the Faculty of Mathematics Obid Zikirov, leading scientists, professors, teachers, doctoral candidates and students.

The conference discussed in detail the theoretical and practical aspects of modern mathematical research, their connection with economics, technology and other sciences, as well as the scientific heritage of Tashmuhammad Sarimsakov.

Special sections were organized for young scientists and presentations of scientific developments were held as part of the event. Experts exchanged experiences in such areas as mathematics teaching methodology, algorithms, mathematical modeling.

Academician Sarimsakov made a huge contribution to the formation of the scientific school not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the whole of Central Asia. The organization of the scientific conference named after him is an exemplary school for young people.
