The next meeting of the “Young Biochemists” club at the National University of Uzbekistan was organized as an encounter between academics and young people.

The meeting with Academician Ravshan Sabirov, Director of the Institute of Biophysics and Biochemistry at NUUz, was attended by professors and lecturers from the Departments of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology, young researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, representatives of partner organizations, as well as students from the university’s Physics and Mathematics School.

During the roundtable discussion, participants were provided with detailed information about current modern scientific research, including the structure of cell membranes, the passage of substances through them, and the role of ion channels in these processes.

The types of ion channels, the compounds acting on them, and the use of these compounds in medicine, as well as the work of foreign and domestic scientists in this regard, were discussed.

The meeting was held on the basis of interesting questions and answers.
