ERASMUS+ ACADEMIC LECTURER CALL
National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUUz) has announced the call for academic lecturers to participate in the open competition within the framework of Erasmus+ KA171 exchange programme. The selected two academic lecturers will visit Koszalin University of Technology (KUT), specifically the Department of Literature and Language Studies within the Faculty of Humanities, from June 9, 2025, to June 13, 2025. The purpose of this exchange is to deliver lectures in English and to engage with students of English at KUT.
Who can Apply?
Academic lecturers regardless of their nationality are eligible to apply for an Erasmus mobility. They can apply through the International relations department at NUUz and selection processes are fair to everyone.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a lecturer and hold a PhD or higher academic qualifications, or be currently enrolled as a PhD student.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Possess the ability to deliver lectures in English (at least 3 years of experience at NUUz).
- Have expertise or interest in disciplines such as paremiology, comparative phraseology, translation studies, foreign language acquisition, or curriculum development for language studies (English studies).
- Have participated in at least one foreign exchange programme.
- Experience in curriculum development is highly desirable.
- Additional qualifications or experiences that highlight the candidate’s suitability for the exchange programme may also be considered.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Candidates must apply on the email address yanarustamyan@nuu.uz till February 10, 2025 (including this day) and submit the form in person to the unit that is responsible for the staff mobility at the International relations department along with the following documents:
- A detailed curriculum vitae (CV).
- A cover letter outlining their motivation and suitability for the programme.
- Evidence of English proficiency (e.g., certification or documented teaching experience in English).
- A list of academic achievements and relevant experience in international projects.
- Any supporting documents deemed relevant (passport, diploms, certificates, etc.).
The Selection Committe will review applications, shortlist and evaluate candidates based on the eligibility criteria, and announce the results of the competition on February 12, 2025 on the official website of the university.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
The Erasmus+ funding (approximately € 2000 per person) will be provided by Koszalin University of Technology upon the candidates’ arrival. The University is expected to assist the selected candidates in financing their initial travel expenses.
