Response to the business meeting between the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the heads of leading international universities and organizations

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s speech emphasises the strategic importance of investing in the younger generation and building strong human capital. The initiatives presented — the National Fund for Children and the “Keleshek” savings system — demonstrate the state’s long-term approach to supporting children and young people.
The creation of mechanisms for accumulating funds for education and housing, the provision of interest-free educational loans and grants, and the modernisation of higher education infrastructure all form the foundation for the development of a competitive, educated and socially protected youth.
It is particularly important that the programmes are not short-term but systematic in nature: support begins at an early age and covers the further education and social development of young people. Such measures increase access to quality education, expand opportunities for young people and strengthen citizens’ confidence in the future.
It should be noted that the implementation of the announced initiatives will require effective administration and transparent use of funds. However, the overall direction – investment in knowledge and child development – undoubtedly deserves support and is an important step towards the country’s sustainable development.
