The Department of Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics was formed in November 2014 from the merger of two departments of differential equations and mathematical physics of the university. Currently, 16 professors, 5 basic doctoral students and 2 independent researchers are working in the department of differential equations and mathematical physics.
The department has 9 doctors of science, 3 of them are academicians of the Faculty of Arts of OzR, 7 candidates of science in non-classical equations of mathematical physics, differential equations with destructible and singular coefficients, theory of equations of mixed and mixed-complex type, spectral theory of differential and pseudo-differential operators, harmonic analysis and wavelet substitutions , are conducting scientific and research work in the areas of management issues in distributed parameter conflict situations.
Professors and teachers of the department teach ordinary differential equations, equations of mathematical physics, variational calculus and optimization methods, game theory and process research, modern methods of mathematical physics, integral equations and pseudo-differential operators, and subjects of higher mathematics.
The department prepares master’s students in the specialty 5A130103-Differential equations and mathematical physics, and basic doctoral students and doctoral students in the specialty 01.01.02-Differential equations and mathematical physics.
A scientific seminar titled Current Problems of Mathematical Physics is being conducted in the department under the leadership of Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.A.Alimov. Professors and teachers of the department are actively participating in existing scientific seminars.
The Department of Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics has established scientific cooperation with scientific centers of the CIS and foreign countries. Among them, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Novosibirsk State University, South Ural State University, Samara State University, Northeastern Federal University, Kamchatka State University named after Vitius Bering, Institute of Mathematics named after S.L. Sobolev, Siberian branch of RFA, Scientific Center of Kabardino-Balkaria Research Institute of Applied Mathematics and Automation, University of Putra Malaysia, University of Berlin (Swobodnyy), University of Göttingen (Germany) and others.
