Biography

Daniel Max Gallmann

Daniel Max Gallmann is a certified Orientalist. Since 2022, he has been a permanent German language teacher from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the Department of German Philology, Faculty of Foreign Philology, at the National University of Uzbekistan. He has teaching experience in several countries, including at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages (Ashgabat, Turkmenistan), the People’s High School of Bhaktapur (Nepal), Atatürk University in Erzurum (Turkey), and the Goethe-Institut in Kazakhstan. Mr. Gallmann speaks several languages: English, Turkish (fluently); Uzbek, Turkmen, Russian, Kazakh, Persian, Arabic, French, and Nepali (basic knowledge); Ottoman Turkish (advanced reading skills). While teaching German language and country studies, he introduces students to essential information about German-speaking countries. As a DAAD lecturer, he also advises students and scholars in Uzbekistan on DAAD scholarship opportunities for studying, professional development, and conducting research in Germany.
