The Faculty of Journalism and Uzbek Philology of the National University of Uzbekistan held a republican scientific conference dedicated to the life and work of the Hero of Uzbekistan, the People’s Poet of Uzbekistan Erkin Vakhidov.

The event, organized on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the poet’s birth, was attended by representatives of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, poet-writers, faculty professors, doctoral students, and students.

The first deputy of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, who took part in the event, spoke about the role of the great Uzbek poet E.Vakhidov in the development of our national spirituality and literature, his life and creative work, as well as the great contribution of the poet to the development of Uzbek literature.

Our beloved poet Erkin Vakhidov, in his richly meaningful, artistically high poems and epics, dramatic works, with great skill glorified the feeling of love and devotion to our Motherland and people, our national values.

At the end of the event, talented students read poems and odes written by Erkin Vahidov.
