
Today, May 15, a solemn meeting was held at the National University of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the chairman of the university’s public council, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Physics, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, dedicated teacher Nematjon Norkulov.
The event was attended by the university’s leadership, guests from various organizations and institutions, and professors and teachers.
The Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Professor Inom Madjidov, congratulated N. Norkulov on his anniversary and noted that he approaches every issue in his educational, scientific, organizational, and public activities with great responsibility and can provide fair solutions based on his extensive life experience.
The Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Associate Professor Gafur Eshonkulov, informed the audience about the scientific, pedagogical, and public activities of Nematjon Norkulov.


After that, the congratulatory speeches of the guests were heard. In particular, congratulations were sent by the Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor Erkin Zokhidov, Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor Odiljon Mamatkarimov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor Mirtemir Kurbanov, Director of the Main Scientific and Methodological Center under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Professor Uzoqboy Begimkulov, Professor of Tashkent State Technical University Nurilla Zikrillayev, Academician Abdugafur Mamadalimov, and faculty representatives.
For information, Nematjon Norkulov was born on May 15, 1950, in the village of Chovkay, Beshkent district (now Kasbi) of Kashkadarya region. N. Norkulov studied in secondary school from 1957 to 1967 and graduated with honors. In 1968, he entered the Physics Faculty of Tashkent State University (now the National University) and graduated with a degree in Physical Electronics. From 1975 to the present, N. Norkulov has been working at the faculty as a senior laboratory assistant, master of instruction, senior engineer, research fellow, assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, and head of the department.
In 1992, N. Norkulov defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. From 1996 to 2009, N. Norkulov worked as the Head of the Department of Physical Electronics.







N. Norkulov was the chairman of the organizational and methodological commission of NUUz in 1997-2019 and is one of the teachers who has been contributing to the development of the university’s educational processes.
Under the direct supervision of N. Norkulov, 5 candidates of sciences were trained, 6 textbooks and a Russian-Uzbek dictionary in the specialty “Physical Electronics,” and more than 200 scientific and methodological articles and abstracts were published.
Today, our teacher N. Norkulov not only teaches at the faculty, but also actively participates in the educational, methodological, and organizational work of the university.
