The rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Inom Madjidov gave instructions on placing the newly established Institute of Theoretical Physics in the building of the Faculty of Physics, forming its material and technical base and creating modern conditions.
I. Madjidov also got acquainted with the process of scientific research conducted at the faculty. In particular, the work carried out in the “Laser Plasma” scientific laboratory on the development of the LIBS – laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy method and the possibilities of its application in industry, environmental control and scientific fields were considered.

In the Functional Materials Laboratory at the faculty, the technologies for synthesizing thin layers and nanostructures of metal oxide semiconductors such as ZnO, SnO₂, Ga₂O₃, the process of studying their physical properties, as well as the possibilities of using these materials as transparent electrodes for solar cells and optoelectronic devices were discussed.
At the end of the visit, the implementation of previously assigned tasks to improve the activities of the Institute for the Development of Nanotechnologies under the National University of Uzbekistan was reviewed, and new tasks were assigned to the officials.
