Cooperation within the Framework of the Fulbright Program

🔴 Today, January 7, the National University of Uzbekistan was visited by Hamid Inomkhojayev, Coordinator of the Academic Exchange Programs at the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, and Anna Balog, Officer for Educational Affairs.

🔴 It is well known that the National University of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States of America in Uzbekistan, has been successfully collaborating within the framework of the Fulbright Program for many years. Under this program, professors and researchers from U.S. higher education institutions and research centers have been actively involved in the university’s educational process and research activities.

🔴 In particular, during the 2025–2026 academic year, Albert Harry Shaheen, a researcher from Harvard University, visited the Faculty of History of the National University of Uzbekistan to undertake a research internship. He is currently conducting joint research with faculty members on the topic “The History of Relations between China and Central Asian States in the 20th Century.”

🔴 During the meeting, Anna Balog provided information about the opportunities offered by the Fulbright Program, the conditions created for participants within the framework of the program, as well as the research activities being carried out by Albert Harry Shaheen at the university. She also emphasized her readiness to provide practical support in expanding the National University of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with other U.S. higher education institutions and in establishing collaboration within various international programs and research grant initiatives in the future.

🔴 At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand mutual cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research in the future.
