International cooperation in the field of geology is expanding.

Yesterday, October 10, the Director of the Institute of Geology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Kiril Degtyarev, Advisor of the Department of International Relations Nadezhda Vakhtina, and the Head of the Department of Regional Geology of St. Petersburg State University, Victoria Yershova, visited the National University of Uzbekistan.

First, representatives of the foreign delegation met with the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Sh.Toshmatov, and held talks on the development of cooperation between universities.

Following this, Vice-Rector Sh. Toshmatov and Academician K. Degtyarev signed a Scientific and Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Geology of the Russian Academy of Sciences on further expanding cooperation in the field of geology.

During the visit, foreign scientists visited the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology. They familiarized themselves with the activities of the Faculty and the Department of Geology, and classes on the subject “Lithology” were conducted for 3rd-year students of the “Geology” program. The guests exchanged views with professors, teachers, and students.
