Constantine the Philosopher University

A professor from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia, visited the National University of Uzbekistan

On December 3, 2022, Professor Miroslav Ballay from the Department of Cultural Studies at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia, visited the National University of Uzbekistan.

There is an existing collaboration project between the National University of Uzbekistan and Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, as well as several European universities, for the years 2021-2024 within the framework of the Erasmus Mundus K-107 program. Within this project, the Department of “Philosophy and Logic” at the Faculty of Social Sciences is working on optimizing the teaching of social and human sciences with the help of IT systems.

Professor Miroslav Ballay is planned to conduct training for PhD candidates and master’s students at the Faculty of Social Sciences on the experiences of European universities and modern methods of cultural anthropology.

Additionally, as part of the joint international project, the Slovak professor is expected to conduct a series of lecture sessions for undergraduate students in the direction of systematic analysis.

On May 3, 2023, a delegation from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia, visited the National University of Uzbekistan. The delegation included the Vice-Rector for International Relations Dr. Martina Pavlikova, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Zdenka Gadusova, and Professors Аlyona Xaskova and Roman Kralik. During their visit, on the eve of the 105th anniversary of the National University of Uzbekistan, the delegation became acquainted with the achievements, scientific, and educational activities of the university community.

During the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Constantine the Philosopher University and the National University of Uzbekistan, laying the foundation for further development of new goals and collaboration prospects.

Based on the memorandum, discussions were held on collaborative efforts between the two universities in the fields of social and human sciences, including the involvement of international partners in a tourism program being developed at the National University of Uzbekistan as a practical outcome.

Future plans for the Erasmus K-171 project, being jointly implemented by the international departments of both universities and the heads responsible for social and human sciences, were agreed upon.

The collaboration plans include digitizing social and human sciences, modeling using IT technology, and creating an English-language electronic guide in the field of systematic analysis. It was decided to extend the project duration for the years 2024-2025 and to expand mobility programs.
