A meeting was organized with members of the delegation headed by the provincial governor of the Republic of Korea

On May 5-7 this year, a delegation led by the governor of Chungcheongnam-do province of the Republic of Korea, Kim Tae Heum, visited Uzbekistan.

As part of this visit, a meeting with Korean guests was organized at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on May 7.

It was attended by the leadership of the Ministry led by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Kungirotboy Sharipov and the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Inom Madjidov.

On the Korean side, representatives of the provincial leadership led by the governor of Chungcheongnam-do province, Kim Tae Heum, and presidents of Son Moon and Sunchonhyang universities participated.

During the meeting, it was noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea has been developing more and more in recent years. Information about branches of Korean HEIs operating in Uzbekistan, activities of joint educational programs, and more than 10,000 Uzbek students studying in this country was recorded.

The parties will further expand cooperation, as well as education and science and expressed their desire to support promising projects and initiatives in the field of innovation. At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National University of Uzbekistan and Son Moon University as a prelude to promising cooperation.
