The chair of mathematical analysis was founded by professor NN Nazarov in 1938. In different years the department was headed by Associate Professor RAShelkunov, Professor LS Arzhanykh and Associate Professor BS Khadzhimullayev. In 1966-1982 the department was headed by Professor LI Volkovyskiy and under his leadership the specialization on geometric questions of the theory of the function of a complex variable began at the department. In 1983-1992 and 2007-2012, the department was headed by Academician A. Sadullaev of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, under whose leadership a school on the theory of the function of several complex variables was created. Dozens of his students are fruitfully working on this topic and received a number of remarkable results. In 1992-2001, under the leadership of Professor G. Khudaiberganov, these traditions were continued. In 2001-2007, the department was headed by Dr. Ph.D. BA Shaimkulov, 2012-2017, the department was headed by Dr. Ph.D. NM Zhabborov. 2007-2012 and at present the Chair of Mathematical Analysis is headed by academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Sadullaev.
Members of the department conduct scientific research in two areas of the theory of the function of a complex variable. The first direction: "The theory of a function of several complex variables and potential theory". Academician A.Sadullaev, professors G.Khudaiberganov and BA Shaimkulov, associate professors TTTuichiev, D.Kh. Jumabaev, JKTishabayev, T.U. Otoboev and K.X.Rahimov are actively engaged in this direction.
The second direction: "Geometric questions of complex analysis". In this direction fruitfully conduct scientific research Professor A.Varisov, associate professors G.M. Lian, N.M. Zhabborov, A.R. Kutlimuratov.
To date, the department has trained 10 doctors of science and about 50 candidates of science.
The Department of Mathematical Analysis has scientific connections with the leading scientific centers: the VA Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation, the Universities of the States of Michigan, Indiana and Washington USA, the University of P. Sabatier (Toulouse, France), the University of Provence (Marseille, France) center of Mittag-Lefler (Sweden), the scientific center of Banach (Poland).
To date, at the Department of Mathematical Analysis there are 3 scientific seminars:
1. "Modern problems of complex analysis"
Time of the seminar: every Thursday at 14.00.
Head of the seminar: academician A.Sadullaev.
2. "Comprehensive analysis in classical areas"
Time of the seminar: every Tuesday at 10.30.
Head of the seminar: Professor G. Khudaiberganov.
3. "Complex dynamic systems"
Time of the seminar: every Friday at 12.00.
Head of the seminar: prof. NM Zhabborov.
In addition, every Monday from 10.00 to 12.00 at the department held a seminar on learning English.
