The National University of Uzbekistan cooperates with many universities, research centers, institutes, higher schools and organizations of the Russian Federation, including the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University of the Russian Federation.

On November 17, 2023, Maria Alexandrovna Nagernyak, Deputy Rector of the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University of the Russian Federation, Deputy Director of the Directorate of the world-class scientific center "Center for Interdisciplinary Research of Human Potential" of the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University, National Research University of Economics Vasily Aleksandrovich Anikin, Senior Researcher of the Institute of Social Policy, Center for Stratification Research, Deputy Director of the Institute of Social Policy of the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University Oksana Vyacheslavovna Sinyavskaya and Director of the Expert Institute, Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Economics, National Center of Medical Sciences, National Research University Ilya Borisovich Voskoboynikov, project manager of the Higher School of Economics, met with Raima Shirinova, vice-rector for international relations of the National University of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, they expressed an opinion on the development of cooperation between universities, the organization of international conferences, the organization of various international events aimed at the goals of sustainable development and the improvement of the quality of education, and the publication of scientific articles in cooperation.

Suggestions were also made regarding the organize of scientific internships for doctoral students and summer schools for students.

In May 2022, the university delegation led by the rector of UzMU, Inom Urishevich Madjidov, will further expand cooperation in the priority areas of science and technology, make agreements on training and internships for professors and teachers of UzMU.  to carry out scientific research and innovative projects in cooperation and to get to know the advanced experience of foreign partners in the fields of education and science and to apply it to the educational and scientific process of the university at the National Research Tomsk State University of the Russian Federation (TSU)  is standing.

  TSU representatives organized a seminar on "University transformation: TSU experience" for the UzMU delegation.  At the seminar, the representatives of TSU shared their experience in project-analytical work carried out in the development of the university and in achieving high indicators of TSU in international rankings.
