🔴 Today, on July 11, the delegation of the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz) visited the University of Salzburg in Austria.
🔴 It is known that cooperation agreements with this university began in 2019 to launch a joint educational program. After implementing the five stages of cooperation — student exchange, exchange of PhD students and teachers, participation in Erasmus programs, joint international conferences, and the establishment of the “E-learning Center DSinGIS: Doctoral Studies in Geoinformation Sciences” in 2020 — significant progress has been made.
🔴 This collaboration is the result of many years of effective partnership between the two leading universities. Today, a formal agreement was signed to launch a dual-degree master’s program in “Applied Geoinformatics” (1+1 format).
🔴 The university’s rector, Dr. Bernhard Fügenschuh, a Doctor of Geological Sciences, highly praised the 7-year active partnership between the two universities — including cooperation on international scientific and educational platforms, participation in Erasmus+ and other international projects, exchange of professors and teachers, sharing of experiences, and regular participation in international conferences and forums on geoinformatics and related fields.
