The National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek cooperates with many European universities, and mutual official memorandum have been signed between the universities, including the University of Mons in Belgium. A memorandum was signed between the two universities in 2022, and cooperation is still ongoing.

    In particular, Raima Shirinova, vice-rector for international relations of the National University of Uzbekistan, and Gulasal Rofiyeva head of the department of strategic development and international ranking held an online meeting with the staff of Mons University of Belgium.

    At this meeting, they discussed sending students to study the University of Mons in Belgium for the winter semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.

    In addition, during the meeting, they exchanged opinions on a number of issues, such as what kind of opportunities for the students of the National University can provide the University of Mons, about the educational system and the transcription of subjects.

    At the end of the online meeting, participants agreed to formalize the necessary documents of the students who want to go to the University of Mons in Belgium by the tenth of December.

It is known that academic mobility relations were established between the National University of Uzbekistan and the University of Mons in Belgium in 2022.

Within the framework of this mobility, to date, 6 Belgian students have gone on to study at the Faculty of Foreign Philology.

For the year 2024, as part of the next academic exchange, a student of the translation department from the University of Mons, Mayol Shabar, visited the National University of Uzbekistan on February 1st, with the aim of continuing the second semester in the field of Russian philology.

On the first day of the visit, the foreign student was introduced to the internal regulations and conditions of the university. Mayol Shabar will continue his studies at the National University of Uzbekistan for 6 months as part of the academic mobility program.
