Visit of the delegation of the HEI of the Republic of Uzbekistan to BNTU (reportage)

On Friday, July 2, 2021, the Belarusian National Technical University received a delegation of higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The delegation included representatives of the Mirzo-Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports, Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction.

At the beginning of the meeting, the rector of the Belarusian National Technical University, Sergey Kharitonchik, addressed the honorary guests with a welcoming speech:

– I would like to express my great gratitude to the Presidents of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko and Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev, who created a reliable foundation for our cooperation. Let me also express my gratitude to Inom Urishevich Madjidov and Igor Vasilyevich Karpenko for the constant support of our joint large-scale initiatives to develop cooperation in the field of engineering and technical education. Just recently, I visited the hospitable Tashkent for the first time, and now it's time to sign an agreement with leading technical universities.

In turn, the guests thanked the representatives of the Belarus National Technical University for the warm welcome and noted that cooperation with BNTU revealed exclusively new formats of interuniversity relations, became a kind of point of growth of the economy and culture of our peoples and helped to give students more professional and technical knowledge gained during the exchange of experience.

Further, during the meeting, the host party expressed special gratitude to the honored guests for their great contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the Belarus National Technical University and higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Rector of the Tashkent State Transport University Odil Kalandarovich Abdurakhmanov and Rector of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov Sadritdin Mahamatdinovich Turabdzhanov were thanked for their great contribution to the development of cooperation in the field of educational, scientific and innovative activities, strengthening of friendly and business relations. The rector of the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan Inom Urishevich Madjidov and the rector of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports Makhmudjon Rustamovich Boltabayev also received gratitude for their great contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation.

In addition, the event hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the dean of the joint faculty of the Tashkent State Transport University and the Belarus National Technical University Alimjon Akhmadzhanovich Riskulov in connection with awarding him the title of "Honorary Professor of BNTU".

A number of agreements on the implementation of joint educational programs between the Belarus National Technical University and leading institutions of higher education of the Republic of Uzbekistan were also signed during the meeting, which will become a new starting point for further cooperation and close friendly ties.

At the end of the event, Sergey Vasilyevich invited the rectors of higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan to leave an entry in the book of honorary guests.
