Expanding bonds of friendship and cooperation

The delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by the Minister of Education was on a visit to Uzbekistan in March of this year. During this meeting the parties discussed the development of cooperation with a number of leading higher educational institutions of our country. The National University of Uzbekistan and the Belarusian National Technical University as well as the Republican Institute of Professional Education signed a memorandum of cooperation.

During this time the universities and their vice-rectors as well as leading specialists worked on creation of appropriate regulatory documents for the introduction of additional training programs in a new academic year.

It should be noted that in 2019 the National University of Uzbekistan and the Belarusian State University with the International State Ecological University named after A. Sakharov were signed a Cooperation Agreement. Moreover additional educational programs were implemented between the two corresponding specialties as "Biological Work" and Ecology and Environmental Protection and today 40 students are studying in these areas.

On April 5 the delegation headed by the Rector of the Belarusian State University arrived on a visit to the National University of Uzbekistan in order to further expand and improve cooperation. For these purposes a memorandum of cooperation was signed at the meeting aimed at further expanding and developing international cooperation.

The rectors of the universities exchanged views on expanding joint educational programs in promising areas, increasing the academic mobility of students, organizing cultural festivals for young people and plans for targeted education and science.

Particularly the leading scientists discussed a number of issues such as joint writing of scientific projects, joint scientific publications and participation in editorial board of the university journal for the effective use of scientific potential.

University rectors have set the goal of developing a meaningful and focused roadmap and ensuring of its effectiveness.

In addition the rector of the Belarusian State University Andrey Korol gave a lecture to graduates and doctoral students of the National University of Uzbekistan on "Dialogue in university education of the XXI century: methodology and practice".
