A group of professors and teachers of the National University of Uzbekistan took part in an international scientific conference held in Chicago, United States of America, on November 20-23.
In particular, on November 20, Professor of the Faculty of Ecology, Doctor of Geographical Sciences N.Komilova and Senior Teacher of the Department of Interfaculty English D.Nazarova took part in the scientific and practical event “Geographical awareness” held by the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Northeastern Illinois University and met with professors, researchers and students of this department.
At a meeting with professors Melinda Stori, Ting Liu, Alex Broz and researcher Irene Staki of Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), international innovation projects to be implemented jointly in 2025 were discussed.
On November 21-23, professors and teachers of NUUz took part in the international scientific conference “Environment and Life Sciences.” Plans for cooperation were discussed with the Executive Director of the Department of Geography and Urbanization at the University of Chicago, Professor Marie Bez Pudup, and Cheryl Weyants, a research scientist at the Department of Geographical Sciences at the Mansueto Institute.
Also, Professor Evan Carver of the Department of Environmental and Urban Science and researchers were presented the content of the project AL-7823051713 “Urbano-ecological situation of the city of Tashkent in the context of global climate change (human ecology and changes in the territorial structure of diseases, issues of mapping) ” carried out at the NUUz and the work carried out within the framework of the project, the results obtained.
