On October 18 of this year, an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the granting of the status of the state language to the Uzbek language at the National University of Uzbekistan on the initiative of the Department of Uzbek Linguistics on the topic “Problems of research and education of the Uzbek language” was held. was carried out.

Today, extensive work is being done to increase the value and reputation of the Uzbek language as a state language in our country. The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 21, 2019 “On measures to fundamentally increase the prestige and status of the Uzbek language as a state language”, the establishment of the State Language Development Department in the structure of the Cabinet of Ministers regulated the work in this area . “The concept of further development of the Uzbek language and improvement of the language policy in our country” developed on the basis of the signed decrees of our president on the state language is a clear proof of our opinion.

This conference is held in the top places in the world ranking of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi (Kazakhstan), Euro-Asian National University named after L.N. Gumilev (Kazakhstan), Kazan Federal University (Russia), Ankara University (Turkey). It is of particular importance that it is being organized in cooperation with Niyya Omar Holisdemir Universities (Turkey), Scientific-Innovative Center “Manuscript and Folklore Studies” and “ASMIRUS” Scientific Conference Support Center. This conference will create a basis for the expansion of scientific and pedagogical relations with the above universities in the future, and will also serve to increase the scope of research and education of the Uzbek language at the international level.

The international conference received more than 100 scientific articles and theses from our republic and abroad, and the plenary session was attended by major scientists such as Hikmet Korash, Alfiya Yusupova, Aynur Ozzhan, Marjan Akhmetova, who are engaged in the study of the Uzbek language abroad, and Congratulatory words and lectures of Uzbek linguists such as Ibrahim Yoldoshev, Muhabbat Qurbanova, Layla Raupova, Rana Saifullayeva took place.
