UZBEKISTAN – UN: ON THE PATH TO ACHIEVING GLOBAL GOALS

On September 26, 2025, a roundtable discussion titled “Uzbekistan – UN: On the Path to Achieving Global Goals” was held at the National University of Uzbekistan. The event was organized to convey the essence and key messages of the speech delivered by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly to the broader public.

The roundtable was held in cooperation with the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Chamber, and the “Ma’rifat” Propagators Society. The event was opened by Raima Shirinova, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the National University of Uzbekistan.

The following speakers presented at the event:

  • Matluba Qahhorova – Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

  • Dilorom Fayziyeva – Member of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security;

  • Otabek Sobitov – Chairperson of the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Chamber;

  • Nasimjon Alimov – Head of the Center for Practical Projects and Political Education of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan;

  • Jaloliddin Yusubov – Associate Professor at the National University of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philosophy (DSc);

  • Sevinchoy Usmanova – Student of the National University of Uzbekistan.

At the end of the event, participants were awarded certificates of appreciation.
