Today, March 4, an expert visit by the German accreditation agency for engineering, computer science, natural sciences and mathematics — ASIIN — has commenced at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.

The experts were welcomed by the Rector of the University, Inom Madjidov, together with the vice-rectors, the deans of the Faculties of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Physics, and the Head of the Department for Strategic Development and Transformation of Educational Infrastructure.

During the meeting, information was presented on the University’s academic programs and curricula, the credit-module system, internal quality assurance mechanisms, and international cooperation. The presentation also highlighted modern facilities available to students, teaching and research laboratories, the transparency of the assessment system, mechanisms for collecting student feedback, grant and scholarship opportunities, student involvement in research projects and academic mobility programs, as well as measures aimed at enhancing graduates’ competitiveness in the labor market.

As part of the visit, the experts will meet with faculty members, students, and employers, and review the educational process, course syllabi, and material and technical resources. Upon completion of the accreditation process, an expert conclusion on the compliance of the academic programs with international standards will be issued.
